Support mental health through movement

We’re looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join Conwy Mind as a Physical Activity Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new holistic wellbeing programme called InnerPace, designed to support people living with anxiety through the power of physical activity.

 Job Details

  • Location: Abergele, North Wales (hybrid working available)
  • Hours: 17.5 hours per week (flexible, some evening/weekend work)
  • Salary: £12,528 (12-month fixed term contract)

 About the Role

As the Physical Activity Lead, you will:

  • Deliver group-based physical activity sessions such as gorge walking, paddleboarding and more.
  • Work directly with people living with anxiety to help improve their mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Build strong partnerships with community organisations and activity providers across Conwy and North Denbighshire.
  • Play a key role in shaping and promoting our new InnerPace programme.

 What We’re Looking For

  • Experience delivering or coordinating physical activity sessions in a community or wellbeing setting.
  • A passion for improving mental health through movement and connection.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to motivate and support others.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner - £20,000 per annum (12 month fixed term contract) - 28 hours per week

Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner

Help us to deliver the Supported Self-Help programme.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a dynamic and motivated Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to deliver the Supported Self-Help programme.
Supported Self-Help is a psycho-educational, CBT-based programme, designed to provide early intervention mental health support, within the Primary Care arena.
The service proactively works with individuals on agreed pathways, via a facilitated self-help model.
Supported Self-Help has 6 pathways: Anxiety & Panic attacks, Stress, Depression, Self–esteem, Managing Anger, Grief & Loss, Feeling alone.
This service will be delivered remotely over the phone and face to face, (or other remote method) and include posting out Supported Self-Help information/work booklets. (Full training will be given as part of the induction).

Job Details

  • Salary Grade/ Rate: £20,000 per annum
  • Location: Unit 5325, North Wales Business Park, Abergele, Conwy, LL22 9HR
    Hours: 28hrs per week
  • Annual Leave: 35 days pro rata (including bank holidays)
  • Responsible to: Services Manager
  • Contract: 12 months’ Fixed Term

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12 months experience of using social care skills working face to face with the public, who may present as emotionally upset from time to time.
  • 6 months of providing mental health/wellbeing services
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent

We are looking for enthusiastic, engaging, and experienced Freelance Trainers on a Self Employed Sessional Worker basis to join our pool of Preferred Providers. You’ll be delivering impactful, mental health-related workshops and training sessions to a wide range of audiences including staff, volunteers, and community groups.

Our paid services are essential in supporting the sustainability of our organisation, helping us fund wider work and support more people across our community.

About the Role

As a Freelance Trainer, you’ll be called upon to: 

  • Deliver high-quality training on mental health, wellbeing, resilience, or related topics 
  • Tailor content to suit a range of audiences (staff, students, young people, etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of new and engaging training materials (optional)
  • Work in a way that reflects our values of inclusivity, empathy, and empowerment

About You

We’re looking for Trainers who are: 

  • Passionate about mental health, wellbeing, and community impact
  • Experienced in designing and delivering interactive training sessions
  • Confident in facilitating group discussions, both online and in person
  • Professional, reliable, and self-motivated

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience working with young people
  • Specialisms in trauma-informed approaches, self-care, stress management, or similar topics 
  • The ability to deliver in multiple languages

What You’ll Need

  • Relevant training/facilitation experience
  • Public liability/professional indemnity insurance
  • Up-to-date DBS
  • Flexibility to work on a sessional, freelance basis
