Growing Minds

Growing Minds is a new project from Conwy Mind, designed to create flexible, meaningful volunteering opportunities for young people aged 11-25. Whether you want to boost your skills, meet others, or give back, we’ll work with you to develop a role that fits your needs and goals. Fill out the application form above to get started.

We’re keen to speak to people who work with young people to promote the project. If you interested, please get in touch with our volunteer coordinator:

How you can get involved:

Social media & marketing

Help us raise awareness about mental health and the work we do. If you’re into graphic design, content creation, or video editing – we want your creative spark! You can also support us by sharing our posts on social media and helping design and deliver posters, flyers, or letters in the community.

Youth Changemakers

If you’re aged 12 – 17 and passionate about mental health, our Youth Changemakers programme is a great way to get involved. Help shape our work, represent the voices of young people in Conwy, and lead the way in building a more open and supportive community.

Events

Conwy Mind runs events throughout the year – and we always need an extra pair of hands! You could help on the day by setting up, welcoming guests, or serving refreshments, or get involved earlier by helping us plan, promote, and market the event. Upcoming highlights include Seal Splash (a brave cold-water dip to raise vital funds) and Mental Elf (our festive fun run with a mental health mission)

Allotment

Conwy Mind now has an allotment! We’re looking for volunteers with green fingers to help clear and develop the site in Colwyn bay.

Lived experience

We’re always looking for people with lived experience of mental health to help others feel less alone and reduce stigma. Whether you’d like to write a blog for our website or join one of our Changemakers workshops to share your story in person, your voice can make a difference in breaking stigma and inspiring change.

Support our activities

Want to help directly with our services? We run lots of activity based groups to support people with their mental health. Our practitioners often need volunteers to assist with these.

Previous and upcoming groups include: walk and talk, men’s walks, yoga, running, art, board games and mindful movement.
