The Conwy Mind Seal Splash 2024!

Join our Mascot Seren the Seal in our brand new fundraising event – Seal Splash!

Talking about how you really feel can sometimes cause you to freeze and can also take your breath away. It’s a courageous thing to do so we’re introducing a challenge that replicates the emotions of someone struggling to talk about how they feel. It will make you freeze and take your breath away – a cold water sea dip on Colwyn Bay Beach!

Thanks to our generous sponsors Tom Owen and Son every penny raised at the event goes direct to helping people struggling with their mental health in Conwy, Anglesey and Gwynedd. Kelly Owen from Tom Owen & Son said

At Tom Owen and Son, we’re proud to stand with Conwy Mind for their ‘Seal Splash’ event in Colwyn Bay. Supporting mental health and wellbeing is a cause close to us. We’re honoured to contribute to Conwy Mind’s invaluable work and the vital services they provide, helping to make a positive difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health in our community

As it’s one of our annual fundraising events we’d love if participants could help us in raising as much money as possible and set up a fundraising page. If you fundraise £50 or more you will receive your very own crotcheted Seren the Seal! We have a Just Giving event page where you can link your own fundraising page to, and we can all work together to raise vital funds.

To make it even more fun the Seal Splash will be fancy dress (not compulsory) but we understand dressing as a seal would be pretty difficult so there is no theme, but whoever has the best fancy dress outfit will win a prize!

The minimum age is 16 years old and anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

If you have an underlying medical condition including, but not limited to, any heart condition, low / high/ erratic blood pressure, any respiratory condition or if you are pregnant you should seek medical advice before registering for this challenge.

Please read the full terms and conditions for taking part in this event.
