Just like you’d have a routine check-up with your dentist or take your car for a service, a Mental Health MOT is a free 30 minute one-to-one wellbeing check-in.
They’re a great first step to taking care of your mental wellbeing if :
- You’ve been feeling “not quite yourself”
- You’re unsure where to start with looking after your mental health
- You just want to check in and reflect.
Is a Mental Health MOT right for me?
Mental Health MOTs are for people experiencing low to moderate stress, low mood, motivation or everyday life pressures – or who simply want some space to check in on their wellbeing.
They’re designed as an early-intervention wellbeing check, not a crisis service.
If you’re feeling in distress or need more specific support:
If you’re in crisis, feeling unsafe, or experiencing high levels of distress, a Mental Health MOT isn’t the right support at this time.
Please explore other support options with Conwy Mind, including:

• Support Calls
• Counselling
If you’re in crisis or need urgent mental health support
If you’re at risk of harming yourself or others, or need urgent help right now, please contact emergency services by calling 999.
How to Book
Our Mental Health MOTs are available to anyone aged 18+ in the Conwy area who is not already receiving mental health support from our other services or the NHS.
You don’t need a referral.
Online/Phone MOT’s
Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
Please use the booking calendars to claim your appointment, simply choose your day and time. Location does not affect online or phone bookings.
In person MOT’s
