Frequently asked questions

How does it work?

RAW Adventures run regular guided climbs of Snowdon that anyone can join to raise money for charity. Through our special partnership, we also offer exclusive climb dates just for our supporters.

You can choose to take part on one of these exclusive days or join an open group – whichever suits you best. Simply pick your date, pay your registration fee to RAW Adventures, and start fundraising for us.

We’ll support you every step of the way with your fundraising, while RAW Adventures will get you ready for the challenge and guide you on the day of your climb.

How much does it cost?

The registration fee starts at £47 per person, full details are on the Climb Snowdon website.

How much do I have to fundraise?

We don’t have any mandatory fundraising targets – you can take part no matter what you raise! We encourage you to set yourself a target to give you something to work towards – we suggest a minimum of £50 as a place to start. We’ll support you to achieve whatever target you set, and you can find lots of helpful information in our fundraising pack (available to download at the top of this page!).

Are there other dates or challenges available?

All open Snowdon days are shown on the Climb Snowdon website. If none of these dates suit you, please get in touch.

We have lots of other challenges available through our partners Run for Charity. Whether you fancy a marathon, inflatable fun run or tough mudder, there is something for everyone. See below for more details.

Can I book as a group?

The open Climb Snowdon events are for individuals or small groups of up to 4, but if you are a larger group we can arrange a bespoke event for you. Get in touch to find out more!

What she does: I manage our dedicated fundraising team and work closely with the local community to develop and diversify income streams. My goal is to ensure we can continue delivering vital mental health services across the region.

Loves: Spending time outdoors with my young family, watching live music and sport, practising pilates, and I’m a sucker for a good coffee shop.

Avoids: I have a lifelong phobia of tomatoes – even walking past them in a shop is a challenge!

Fun fact: There’s a mountain in Greenland named after me – a unique honour thanks to my Dad’s involvement in an expedition there.

Kieran

Loves: Heavy music, Liverpool FC, hiking and all the animals!

Avoids: Running! I can walk fifty miles no problem – but I’d to hate to run for even fifty meters!

Fun fact: I have a personal fundraising goal of £1m raised by the time I am 40! 9 Years and a lot of planning to go!

Zach
