Young People Counselling
If you are 14 years old or above, you can access 6 sessions of counselling for free.
What is counselling?
Our counselling service is there to support you, listen to you and to create a safe place for you to explore issues that are going on in your life and, hopefully, to find a way forward.
Confidentiality is key, which means that whatever you speak about with your counsellor will not be shared with anyone else. The only time that confidentiality would need to be broken is if there was significant risk to yourself or someone else. The counsellor would discuss this with you first.
How does it work?
After the initial referral to counselling, you will have a short assessment and questionnaire to assess your areas of need. You will be offered 6 sessions, usually on a weekly basis, at a time that suits you and your counsellor.
Each session can last up to 40 minutes. If you need to change or cancel an appointment, you will be able to contact the counsellor directly.
Is counselling for me?
If you are 16 years or over, live in Conwy County and need support with your mental health and wellbeing then counselling could be for you.
Counselling could help if you are feeling
- Have low mood
- Are worrying a lot
