Our counselling service is available to anyone aged 18 and over. We offer 6 weeks of counselling sessions.

What is counselling?

The idea of counselling is to support you, listen to you and to create a safe place for you to explore issues that are going on in your life and, hopefully, to find a way forward.

All our counsellors are qualified and work, primarily, from a person-centred perspective. They are registered with the BACP and work within their guidelines.

Confidentiality is key, which means that whatever you speak about with your counsellor will not be shared with anyone else. The only time that confidentiality would need to be broken is if there was significant risk to yourself or someone else. The counsellor would discuss this with you first.

How does it work?

After the initial referral to counselling, you will have a short assessment and questionnaire to assess your areas of need. You will be offered 6 sessions, usually on a weekly basis, at a time that suits you and your counsellor.

Each session can last up to 45 minutes. If you need to change or cancel an appointment, you will be able to contact the counsellor directly.

Is counselling for me?

If you are 18 or over, live in Conwy County and need support with your mental health and well-being then counselling could be for you.

The counselling offers short-term therapy for people facing common mental health difficulties and challenging life events causing anxiety, stress and low mood.
