On Thursday 2nd February we are encouraging people to take ‘time to talk.’ The day is all about creating supportive communities by having conversations with family, friends, or colleagues about mental health. We all have mental health, by talking about it we can support ourselves and others.
Here at Conwy Mind we would love if organisations could get on board and get talking about mental health! Why not organise your own Time to Talk event whilst raising vital funds for Conwy Mind? Here are a few suggestions to help you get started:
- Get your workplace talking – clear a spot in the diary whether it’s for a morning coffee all together, a lunch time walk or doing one of our activity packs at lunch. Staff can then make a small donation to Conwy Mind to help people in their community.
- Get young people talking – request our activity pack and get your school involved to get talking about mental health.
- Get your sports club talking – arrange a sports club social to get talking or have a conversation-led warm up/cool down at a training session.
- Get your community talking – organise your own Time to Talk event such as a Tea & Talk day or a Walk & Talk. Anything to get mental health conversations started!
You can create your own Fundraising Page on our Time to Talk Just Giving Campaign here: Time To Talk Day 2023 – JustGiving
