Chris, Gregg, Ash and Hayden will be hiking the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge on Thursday 2nd June, fundraising for Conwy Mind.
The Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge (Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough) is a 24 mile hike, making it longer in terms of mileage than the National 3 peaks (Yr Wyddfa, Ben Nevis and Scarfell Pike). They will be climbing 5,200 feet, with all 3 peaks over 600 meters. It will be a long day for Chris, Gregg, Ash and Haydan as they start their journey to the first peak at 4.30am and will start their hike around 7am, climbing all three peaks one after the other, with no rest in between!
Chris, Gregg, Ash and Haydan have been friends since high school. They are doing this challenge in order to raise awareness towards mental health and raise money for Conwy Mind.
Chris said “Having seen what struggling with mental health can do to a family on a personal level this is something we are keen to raise awareness and money for. If you are able to give, no matter how big or small it will be greatly appreciated by myself and the team.”
